What We Collect
PrizeBondCheck.com collects different types of data depending on how you use the site:
- Anonymous visitors: Prize bond check history and theme preferences are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device.
- Registered users (Wallet feature): When you sign up for a Prize Bond Wallet account, we collect your email address and optionally your name. Your saved bond numbers are stored securely in our database (hosted on Supabase). This information is used solely to provide and improve the wallet service.
How We Use Data
- Store your recent prize bond numbers locally so you can check them again later (anonymous users).
- Securely store your prize bond wallet on our servers so you can access it from any device (registered users).
- Remember your theme preference between visits.
- Respond to messages sent through the contact email link.
- Understand how the site is used (via anonymous Google Analytics data) to improve features.
User Accounts & Data Storage
If you create a Prize Bond Wallet account, your data is:
- Stored in a Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL database in a secure environment.
- Associated with your account via a unique user ID. We do not share this data with third parties.
- Retained for as long as your account exists. You may contact us to request deletion.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate and improve the site:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — We use GA4 to collect anonymous usage data such as page views, session duration, and general traffic patterns. GA4 sets cookies including
_gaand_gidto distinguish unique visitors. IP anonymization is enabled, so your full IP address is never stored by Google Analytics. - Supabase — Our database and authentication provider. Supabase is GDPR-compliant and stores data in secure cloud infrastructure. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts — Web fonts are optimized and self-hosted via Next.js. No requests are sent to Google Fonts by the browser.
What Stays In Your Browser
Saved prize bond numbers (for anonymous users) and UI preferences are stored locally on your device. They are not shared with us unless you manually send them or create a wallet account.
Your Choices
- You can clear browser storage at any time to remove saved numbers and preferences.
- You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by disabling cookies in your browser settings.
- You can delete your wallet account by contacting us, and we will remove all associated data.
- You can contact us if you want clarification about how the site handles data.
